Well, the Olson family just came back from their first official Illinois football game as a 3-person family. Admittedly, it was a challenge, but we learned some good lessons and we're gearing up for the next game this coming Saturday, armed with the following knowledge:
-Abbie needs a toy hanging in front of her in the car seat for the drive down & back
-When we go into the stadium, bring Abbie's "pacifier leash" with, so that when she spits it out of her mouth, it doesn't end up on the disgusting stadium floor
-Keep hot dog buns away from Abbie's grubby little hands
-Take turns carrying Abbie in the front pack, lest the designated carrier have to consume copious amounts of ibuprofen for the next 24 hours.
-While we are adamant about not keeping our child "in a bubble" per se, we decided we'll need to keep her in one so she can nap in the middle of a football tailgate scene.
Bringing a baby to a football game is definitely not for the faint of heart. We'll let you know how the revisions work for next week's game (oh, and hopefully we won't have our hands too full to take pictures this time!)
