It came to my attention today, through a series of conversations with my coworkers, that perhaps my political and societal views aren't as obvious to everyone as I thought. As such, I thought I would clarify things for anyone out there who might still be wondering:
I am a card-carrying, capitalist-loving, government-minimizing conservative.
I am pro-life, anti-social security, anti-affirmative action, and marriage-preserving
I believe that freedom of religion does not mean to ignore it completely and that the solution is to respect other peoples' beliefs instead of being forced to believe other peoples' beliefs.
I do NOT believe that the solution to a problem is to create a countering problem (affirmative action), nor do I believe that the way to refrain from offending people is to not do anything (Political Correctness)
I believe that those people who have been handed a bad lot in life should receive help, but that the government is in no capacity to manage such an undertaking.
I think it's a shame that hotly-debated topics such as these are avoided like the last mozzarella stick on an appetizer tray. As such, I would like to open the floor to any comments, questions or countering thoughts you may have.
